The Australian Cancer Council has welcomed the introduction of a ban on electronic cigarettes as a more pragmatic approach to prevent smokers from relapsing.

Advocates say a ban helps smokers to quit more easily and minimises the number of deaths and illness caused to people who do so.

But the council has said the introduction of a vaping ban will prevent thousands 세종출장샵of cigare로투스 홀짝ttes fr여수안마om reaching Australian homes.

The council's president, Tony Bontemps, said the ban is also a reasonable response to recent issues.

"We are hopeful that we can create a sensible, sensible and proportionate approach to smokers in this country," Mr Bontemps said.

"We know the issues around electronic cigarettes are an issue that's worth talking about.

"We've seen how effective it can be, and it is possible to do much more, and we hope to develop a sensible approach to that particular activity."

The Victorian Government's recent decision to ban electronic cigarettes and all e-cigarette advertising was challenged in court after they were found to be the same as tobacco products.

Electronic cigarettes may help some smokers quit

E-cigarettes are not "tobacco products", but some argue electronic cigarettes are much like smoking tobacco and that bans are necessary to protect people's health.

A spokesperson for the Victorian Government says e-cigarettes are "not tobacco products".

"As this decision is in the public domain, we need to review that decision and see what additional information we can acquire from other jurisdictions and other countries around the world about their bans," the spokesman said.

"We are now consulting with the Victorian Government about the possible implications of the decision in regards to e-cigarettes and any other proposed tobacco products, and will ensure there is proper engagement around it."
